WWE Night of Champions 2011: WWE Diva Blasts Fellow Divas on Twitter

Something fishy is going on in the WWE Divas division.

In the last few weeks, we’ve seen WWE.com publish an article ripping on “Barbie doll” Divas such as the Bella twins and the Divas of Doom—Beth Phoenix and Natalya—criticize Kelly Kelly and her wrestling ability, or lack thereof.

Now, it’s Rosa Mendes’ turn to rip her co-workers.

The not-so-talented, hardly-ever-seen Diva has been going crazy on Twitter as of late, primarily to blast the WWE’s so-called “rookie” Divas.

Ric Flair Hospitalized

Ric Flair is currently in the hospital, recovering from injuries suffered in the recent domestic dispute with wife Jacqueline Beems. No weapons were used in the attack, but at the time when police arrived, Flair refused treatment. Flair's agent Melinda Morris Zanoni, offered up the following statement…

"Ric and his wife had an unfortunate disagreement late last night, which led to his wife being arrested and charged with assault. Ric has done nothing wrong. The important thing to remember here is that we have some very exciting professional announcements in the near future. Ric finds this incident unsettling and is committed to correcting any issues in his personal life".

Terri Runnels

Terri got her start in “The Business” as a make-up artist for CNN’s Larry King Live and also moonlighted for Jim Crockett Promotions, later purchased by Ted Turner and renamed World Wrestling Championship. She then came onto the scene as a manager. In 2004, Terri left WWE to spend more time with her daughter. She has since spent years working with countless children’s charities.

Brooke Adams

Brooke is a Texas girl who made her WWE debut in 2007. She was starring within the ECW Brand with Kelly Kelly and Layla El in Extreme Expose. In November of 2007, Brooke was released from her WWE contract and has since returned to modeling.

Pro Wrestling has always held a certain fascination. You know you’re looking at a carnival that’s basically a bizarre soap opera for men and adolescent boys, but in all honesty, that’s kind of the attraction. Wrestling has serious staying power too, while it has it’s up and downs it always has a core audience that is obsessed with the product. Perhaps the most interesting thing we’ve come across over the last few days is are the pole results for the female wrestler of the year at Gerweck.net, in which fans voted Sara Del Ray female wrester of the year. Sara Del Ray beat out Beth Phoenix in a close race, with Sara taking 25% of the vote to Beths’ 24% of the vote. We then checked out the WWE Universe and we couldn’t find evidence that anyone even knows what a ‘Sara Del Ray’ is. Looks like it’s a small WWE universe, after all (put to Disney’s ‘it’s a small world’).

Wwe diva Jillian Hall

Jillian Hall from Kentucky is currently performing for WWE under its Raw brand, although her debut was originally made with SmackDown! This lively blonde diva had good preparation for a career in WWE, by training at a professional wrestling school. Jillian is also known for her singing, and released an album last year entitled “A Jingle With Jillian”

Wwe diva Cherry

Kara Drew from New Jersey originally took the handle Cherry Pie, but dropped the Pie to become Cherry, and is a professional wrestler, and valet. She trained with Gino Caruso, and made her debut with WWE on a 2007 edition of SmackDown! She was released from WWE in August 2008.

Wwe diva Layla El

Layla El is from Britain, and is a WWE Diva on the Raw brand. Layla’s previous career was as a dancer, having danced for Kanye West. Along with other divas, such as Kelly Kelly and Torrie Wilson, Layla performed for rapper Timbaland’s music video “Throw It On Me” which also features Swedish rock band The Hives.

As men unfamiliar with this WWE Diva will soon find out, she also has a slammin' body.

Maria is set to join an illustrious line of WWE Divas who have posed in Playboy. They include Sable, Candice Michelle and Torrie Wilson, all of whose issues rank among the best-selling in the history of the publication.

It's easy to see why: Hot women + wrestling fans (i.e. young, horny men) = Playboy profits galore!

You got a silver? Hit the floor, says Japanese wrestler's dad

While a trio of Japan's women wrestlers were left to celebrate medals at the Asian Games, one was ordered to hit the floor and start doing push-ups.

Kyoko Hamaguchi's reward for winning silver at the Doha spectacle on Monday night was a dressing down from her father, former wrestler Heigo Hamaguchi, and a humiliating taste of boot camp life.

In front of bemused passers-by the 28-year-old was ordered to remove the identity pass and silver medal hanging round her neck and lie flat on the blue carpet of the arena to begin her ordeal.

"I was pretty horrified," said Reuters photographer Caren Firouz who witnessed the episode. "I guess it just left me speechless."

Just moments earlier the gym instructor from Tokyo had been sobbing on the podium, the unwanted medal around her neck, having been beaten by China's Wang Xu in the final of the 72kg freestyle division.
