Bikini Wrestling Match

Which is why, perhaps, that Cambridge classics student Nadia Witkowski didn't quite manage to get a grip of the jelly wrestling competition rules at an end-of-exams celebration.

The 23-year-old graduate wore the requisite bikini, jumped into the pool and gave quite a good account of herself in the grappling department, easily overcoming her rather more svelte opponent.

But when the crowd decided the shapely blonde was the winner anyway, Miss Witkowski lost her temper.

Still covered in red jelly, she stalked away to the sound of the students' booing and punched a female spectator, leaving her with a bloody nose.

Then she grabbed a bottle of Lambrini and made for the exit, where she was stopped by two burly bouncers.

When they tried to confiscate the bottle, she punched one and butted the other, forcing them to call the police.

Officers arrived at the party at Trinity Old Fields, Cambridge, and Miss Witkowski was taken to a nearby police station, where she received a caution for common assault.

Last Sunday's jelly wrestling was part of a garden party organised by the Wyverns, an all-male Magdalene College drinking society, and part of a bigger tradition known as Suicide Sunday.

This year there was a blazers and bikini theme (that's men in blazers, women in bikinis) and a jelly-filled paddling pool.

One undergraduate who witnessed the incident said: 'The crowd gets to choose the victor by cheering - the fighter with the louder cheer wins.

Nadia had been a bit aggressive and probably wasn't as attractive as the other girl, so she was booed although she'd probably been the better fighter.'

Miss Witkowski, who hopes to go into law or investment banking, gained three As and a B at Denbigh High School in Luton and went to Trinity College, where she finished her exams this month.

Yesterday, back at her £700,000 family home near Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, she refused to comment.

A Wyverns spokesman yesterday said her behaviour was 'unacceptable' and she would not be admitted to future garden parties.

A university spokesman was a little more stern and said the venue would not be made available for such parties again.

'The college deplores conduct of that kind,' he said.

Last Night on WWE RAW, Jillian Hall and Candice Michelle

Candice Michelle took on Jillian Hall last night in what I hate to say was a very lackluster wrestling match.
I hate to say lackluster because Candice versus Beth Phoenix is the women's event at WWE No Mercy.
Candice still doesn't look 100 percent, although she did win.

I know most wrestling writers and bloggers don't take the womens wrestling divisions seriously. But as you can see from the number of blogs I do, I take it seriously. I dont want to see the Women's Wrestling title match become a snooze fest or a squash.
Candice is trying and I respect that. But maybe they should have held back on her a bit and let her get the ring rust off before throwing her back with a title shot.
I personally think Mickie James versus Beth would have been a better match for No Mercy.
I still do wish Candice luck though.

Q & A: The Alpha Female

SEXY HOT DIVAS: Welcome to LadySports! When did you first get into the sport?
ALPHA FEMALE: I discovered wrestling when I was 11 years old and it captured me from the very start on, and I became a big fan of it. A couple of years later, I had the opportunity to wrestle.

SH: Who trained you?
AF: Two of the best wrestlers in the world... a legend and a machine. Joe Legend from Canada (who worked for the WWE, TNA, and NOAH), and Turkish wrestling machine Murat Bosporus (who worked for NOAH and all over the world).

SH: What was your biggest influence to become a wrestler?
AF: I was always impressed by wrestlers like Bret Hart, Chris Benoit, Fit Finlay, Ric Flair and Arn Anderson. Wrestling was always like a family to me. I feel like home being on the road.

SH: What other sports do you have an interest in?
AF: Well, there is just one more thing I love the most besides wrestling and that is ME. I could do every other sport I wanted to and would be the best at it, but like I said, the only thing I love more than wrestling is the Alpha Female.

SH: How would you describe yourself in terms of attitude, personality and strengths?
AF: I'm a really humble person... I don't like to talk too much about me, but if I have to point something out it would be my generosity and my instinct for success.

SH: Describe a typical day of training for you. What is most important in your workout?
AF: Honestly, I don't have to train as much as most of the little sissy girls. Some people just have it and I'm one of them. But when I train, I train harder than anybody else.

SH: How would you best describe your ring style?
AF: I change my ring style to that which people want to see. Sometimes it's more basic, other times it has more of a “show” aspect. But one thing always stays the same: In the end, I always win.

SH: Did you base your ring style or even your persona on any one particular wrestler?
AF: Come on... have you ever see as fantastically talented a wrestler as me before? I really looked for a role model at first, but then I realized it was just a waste of my time. The Alpha Female is unique.

SH: What specific signature moves are you best known for?
AF: I would say my great Queens Suplex , the deadly Inoki Plex, or the amazing Ranhei, which I put in my moves set only recently.

SH: Have you ever been injured in the ring?
AF: Yes, a couple of times because I had to wrestle against talent-free amateurs.

SH: Since you've begun, have you ever had a "Why am I still doing this" moment?
AF: I think some of my defeated opponents ask themselves this question. I never asked myself this question. It is for little sissy girls, not for the Alpha Female to doubt herself.

SH: Who have been your toughest opponents?
AF: My toughest opponent is my image in the mirror. It is so hard to look away and it captures me for hours. It is really so unfair to be so beautiful.

LS: Who are your allies?
AF: God, my beauty and my intelligence.

SH: What has been your most memorable win?
AF: My eWe title win in Spain in front of 4000 people... a strong, excited crowd! I knew before that match I was going to be successful, but nevertheless it was a great experience. I defended it against Wesna from Croatia and Jenny from Sweden, and it doesn't matter who wants to take it away... no one will EVER take it away from me!

SH: What was your worst loss?
AF: I broke my fingernail once....

SH: Who is the one wrestler you would most like to face in the ring, but haven't yet?
AF: Well, there are a few, but those so-called champions are too frightened to step in the ring with the Alpha Female. They know who they are.

SH: What type of match do you enjoy the most?
AF: The ones where I win and humiliate my opponents. In other words, all of them.

SH: What sort of reactions do you get from people when they learn you are a wrestler?
AF: I have to be honest: I don't really listen to the babbling of other people. The only thing that matters is what I think.

SH: Who and What are your fans like?
AF: What do you mean with who??? Everybody loves me! I just don't think that most of them deserve to see my great in-ring performance.

SH: If you had the power, what one thing would you do to improve the sport?
AF: I would make sure that everybody gets paid better, and make sure that only well-trained wrestlers are able to step in the ring. And what could you guys change to improve the sport? Book me in every show there is in the world! You know, if I'm not on the card, the show cant be that good!

SH: Where have you wrestled, and what titles have you held?
AF: I've wrestled in Africa, Italy, France, Holland ,Switzerland, Finland, Ireland, Denmark, Austria, Spain, and of course Germany. Is there really any title that is worthy to be held by the Alpha Female? Nothing is more precious than me!

SH: What are your thoughts on women participating in the sport?
AF: I think it is great that there is a chance to prove that women are as good as men... only in my case, to prove that I am even better than them.

SH: What was your most unforgettable moment in the ring?
AF: Showing my greatness in front of 4000 people in Africa and also in front of 4000 people in Spain. I'm sure they still dream of me.

SH: Any regrets?
AF: I never regret. I'm always proud of what I do.

SH: What do you suppose you would be doing if you couldn't be in wrestling?
AF: Being the best in something else... or everything else.

SH: If you could have only one more final match, who would you most want to have as your opponent, and why?
AF: I would love to wrestle against Jazzy Bi. She must be amazing. Jazzy Bi versus Alpha Female that will be the Best Match Ever. She would, of course, lose.

SH: What is your personal motto?
AF: CLASS looks only from downside like arrogance

SH: What would make you most happy in life?
AF: Beating up more little sissy girls, having a lot of money, and a house full of mirrors.

SH: How can my readers find out more about your career?

Mickie James

She was the last Diva to get the rub from Trish Stratus and Lita, who where arguably the greatest of their time. She has been the leader of the Women's division since the departure of Trish and Lita and has carried the flag with pride.

She has been with the company for only three short years and is already a four time Women's Champion and I'm sure there will be more in the coming years. She has beaten the best in the Women's division and is on top of the mountain of Women's Wrestling today.

I had no idea how popular SmackDown!'s Cherry was with the readers of my wrestling blogs till I looked over the stats.
So here's some more.....

Kara Elizabeth Drew started in the wrestling business in January 1999 as a manager in IWF. She also began training to become a wrestler around that time with Gino Caruso at ECPW and worked as a manager and an occasional wrestler in various federations on the east coast. By 2003 she was working primarily as a wrestler. She bounced around the independent circuit until September 2005 when she was accepted into Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) the "farm territory" of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) to further her training. Two months later she was signed to a WWE developmental deal.

At the January 17, 2006 OVW TV tapings Drew made her OVW debut as Cherry, valet of The Throwbacks (Deuce and Domino). She became part of their 1950s gimmick, wearing poodle skirts and roller skates and chewing gum at all times. Cherry made her WWE debut on the January 19, 2007 edition of Smackdown! managing Deuce & Domino. On the April 20, 2007 edition of SmackDown!, Cherry was in the corner of Deuce & Domino when they captured the WWE Tag Team Titles.

How has life been since you’ve won?
It’s been exciting. I’ve been working nonstop, so I've hardly had any sleep. It hasn't really sunk in that I’ve won.

Did you get a chance to celebrate?
Not really. My celebration was me, JT, her fiance and like five fans we met in the hotel lobby just before the live taping. I actually took them out to dinner after the show.

Why do you think you won? What separated you from the other girls?
I think it was a combination of my unique look and the fact that I’m extremely hyper. I wasn’t afraid to show who I am.

Did you really think you could win it all?
I honestly thought I wasn’t going to. I won the most competitions, but I thought I stood out too much from the other contestants because of my ethnicity. Let’s be realistic, I'm ethnic and at the end of the day, they’re either going to love me or hate me. Judging from the fans' reactions, I actually thought JT was going to win.

How happy were you seeing that oversized check?
Didn’t you see me? I was making out with the check!

It did look like you were dry humping the check.
No, I was not dry humping the check! I was trying to slide. I was sticky—I had oil on my legs. I was not humping the check. Everyone says that though. I was trying to hop on it and I got stuck.

There might have been a little waist action going on, though.
No waist action! I was not dry humping. I can find somebody else to hump me.

Are you going to frame the oversized check?
Do I even get that? I don’t know. I should! I would probably frame and stick it up on my wall.

It seemed as if you and Jen have great chemistry, especially when you kissed.
I had no clue that was even going to happen! Jen's the first girl I've ever kissed in my life. I don’t think there was any tongue action, but I know my breath was bad. I feel bad for Jen. When I get nervous, I get bad breath.

Speaking of nervous, didn't you throw-up a few times before some of the shows?
I did throw-up a couple of times. I didn’t really tell anybody. I was super nervous during the contest, especially during elimination. People don’t realize how scary it is. I put my heart and soul into this, and I really wanted to win, but at the same time I knew I could go home at any time. The ladies will tell you that I was in the restroom a lot.

You're going to be spending a lot of time in the wrestling ring. Are you at all afraid of being injured?
It’s intimidating. Who wants to get injured? But I can get hurt wrestling, stepping into my car, crossing the road—you can get hurt anywhere. Life’s full of scary risks. I'm not afraid of this one.

Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, and Moose(Mickie Knuckles) wrestled Gail Kim, ODB and Roxxi at TNA Slammiversary.
Gail Kim, ODB and Roxxi came out on top, with ODB providing the win with a running powerslam.

Also, Awesome Kong had her challenge match against two " civilians" who were really Serena Deeb( OVW) and Josie Robinson (WLW).

Jell-O Wrestling Food Fight Fun

Spring is on its way and the weather is starting to warm up. Many people turn to cold treats -- think Jell-O -- to beat the heat. But while most people eat their Jell-O, others like to wrestle in it. If you find yourself in New York City this weekend, consider taking part in a round of Amateur Female Jell-O Wrestling. One Sunday a month, women from all walks of life don costumes and wrestling personas and take each other down in slippery goo. Anna Boiko-Weyrauch is a regular in the ring, and she shows us the ropes:

I'm a Jell-O wrestler and proud of it. I know what you're thinking, but this is no Ft. Lauderdale "Girls Gone Wild" -- this is a place to dress up in costume and be a superhero. And the Jell-O? Well, that's to make sure we don't take ourselves too seriously. Amateur Female Jell-O Wrestling is my refuge from the real world. I'm a recent college graduate, and I constantly struggle to get ahead. But once a month, when I come to wrestle, I can let go of the daily grind and act like a kid again.

The event takes place at Arlene's Grocery, a funky bar in Manhattan's Lower East Side. It looks like any other venue, except for the wrestling ring. It's a large plastic kiddie pool on top of old mattresses. Inside, an inch of bright Jell-O awaits the smack-down.

We learn stunts and safety techniques before the match. This event is as much performance as it is fighting. In the ring we show off fake moves in between real ones. Like when I yell, "Clothesline!" and hold my arm out, the other girl runs into it and knocks herself over. We'd let guys wrestle too, but they just don't get it. The one or two times Jell-O wrestling founder and referee Dana Sterling let guys wrestle, it got serious way too quickly. "When one guy pushes another, the other pushes back harder," she says.

But we girls take care of each other. There's an unspoken code of conduct: Be safe, be silly and cooperate -- or get out of the ring. Wrestlers come to compete for a few different reasons. Like two-time champion Melissa Melly, aka Strawberry Shortcake. "There, I can be myself, I can let loose and I can just be trampy and nobody cares."

She says she also wrestles to set a good example for all of the other BBWs (Big Beautiful Women) in the world. Other wrestlers, like Nina Jafferji (wrestling pseudonym: Fire Angel), wrestle to get out aggression. Tonight, Alisa Taylor wrestled for the first time as Frida Tortilla -- so she can die a happy woman.

But me? I wrestle because I want to win. Tonight I'm Gal Friday, a disgruntled office assistant in business casual. I wear a blue collared shirt and tan skirt. Perfect attire for filing, or flipping. In real life, I'm also the office grunt -- always the worker bee, never the queen. But not today. Today I'm the one giving orders. When I stand tall in that inflatable pool, ankle-deep in warm Jell-O, I am the alpha female.

In the first part of the tournament I blow past contestants Frida Tortilla and Dana Sterling. It's tough, but I'm clawing my way to the top. Next, I face Data Crunch, a first-timer visiting from Los Angeles. Data Crunch throws off her floppy disks and rolls up her purple sleeves. An expert at running cables, she nails me good with a clothesline to the chest. I stagger to my feet, and swing her around the ring by her long dark braids. She puts up a fight, but I'm a skilled office assistant and well-versed in crunching data. I take Data Crunch down.

I'm starting to feel a little sick. I'm sure I've had more than my suggested serving of Jell-O. But we've come to the last match of the night -- finally, I fight Top Shelf. She is a lush with a thing for fishnets and gold lame. The tattoo on her arm reads "fierce." She gnashes her teeth and flexes her muscles. But she can't scare me. I'm ready to go.

I knock over Top Shelf, but she drags me down with her. Body slam! It hurts, but I lunge back. We lock arms in a huddle. We both gasp for breath. And then she asks, "Do you mind if I win?" Do I mind? And give up when I am so close to the top? But there's a desperate glimmer in her eye. She's asking me -- asking me -- to win. And she's so polite! We do some more flips before I give in to the soft Jell-O beneath me...

I wanted to win so badly, but this event is about community. It's about taking care of your sister. It's not easy for me to accept defeat, but here at Amateur Female Jell-O Wrestling, it's cool to be a loser.

Michelle McCool versus Trish Stratus

Now according to the WWE, Michelle McCool has beaten Trish Stratus in queries online.
I don't really see how, considering Trish is getting HUGE buzz over her new Travel Channel show.
And her yoga, and showing up on RAW again.
Okay, the RAW thing was just one night but still.

Anyway, MY stats still show Trish WAY over Michelle. By a big margin.

Former WWE Diva Kristal Marshall Expecting

Well, Former WWE Diva Kristal Marshall, 24, is due to give birth soon.
And the childs father is her boyfriend Bobby Lashley!
That's the reason Lashley didn't want to make any long-term commitments, because it would put him on the road too much.
I really respect that out of Bobby,he loves wrestling, but he loves his family more.
And the WWE talks about role models. They had one, well two right there.
I wish them both, well all three, the best.
